Sci-Fi and Horror Stream Overlays

Did you know I stream sometimes? I don't blame you if you didn't, because that "sometimes" is doing a lot of heavy lifting. I don't do it very often, but this is more or less what it looks like when the stars align and I actually do! Or rather, this is what it will look like the *next* time I do. All the streams I've uploaded to YouTube still have my old layout, and I've only used the new one once so far. Last Halloween-ish I returned to streaming after a 2-year break to play World of Horror for a few hours, and then promptly dropped off the face of Twitch again for an indeterminate amount of time. So the new regular overlay was shown for a few minutes before I switched to the horror version for the rest of that stream.

I dunno. I feel like I have a lot more fun making stuff FOR streaming than I do actually streaming. I felt like making a new overlay, and thought I'd try using Blender to do it. I'm quite happy with the final results and how it all came together in OBS, and I also learned a few new things I could do with it and the Touch Portal app.

Also, hi. That's my real, actual face.

I made a 3D version of my old layout which was originally made in Photoshop.

I found out you can do transition animations in OBS, and used it to make shutters I could control through Touch Portal.
